I would also call attention to the statement of JFK on the subject of nonviolence, when peaceful protest becomes impossible, violent protest becomes inevitable, paraphrased of course. I believe this is where communities of color are at, and if they currently arent will be soon, particularly if the privileged classes continue to dismiss the systemic and historic nature of their oppression by the privileged classes.
