I would be interested to know how UPM is going to handle this issue. In my days ragging was really bad although I survived the 3 weeks of torture. Incidentally I was also chosen as the Best Freshie for being very sporting. However, some seniors version of orientation was pure sadism and cruelty. As usual, the Indian seniors will pick on the Indian freshies and their ragging was pure torture. Traditionally UPM had a bad name for the worst kind of ragging. The famous torture was the Serdang Heli where the genitals of freshies were tied by a string to a fan and the fan was switched on. The other was the Royal Flush where the seniors dipped your head into the toilet bowl and flushed. Somehow the Indian seniors will inflict the worst punishment on the Indian freshies. I am quite sure the victims here are Indian students. If I was the Minister of Education, I will fire the TNC (HEP) and the Master of the Residential College where it took place.
