I would caution everyone not to jump on this current bandwagon of police bashing. Certainly there are plenty of bad cops out there. And they certainly need to be found, and exposed. Then of course stopped! But using video like this one to further a true cause? Sorry, this does not work for me! One.... there are two sides to every story. Two....Was the man in fact guilty of criminal trespass? Three... what happened before this very short clip was filmed? Four... the claim that someone was five feet from “his” car, is irrelevant. (besides, it is ambiguous... big guy with the back-pack speaks in a different voice, as the person claiming that, “this is my car” Five....The man was surrounded by uniformed police officers and had been informed at least once that he was trespassing. My guess---I have to guess as the video begins ONLY after several officers arrived at the scene---is that he had been warned several times. There are lots of accusations made here by the poster of this video, and others, yet there is very little information. I am confident there was a detailed police report filed. I would love to be able to read it. Let me make it very clear. I am a big fan of exposing police misconduct. Especially police brutality. It is an aberration against our very society, and threatens our way of life. All that can be done to stop it should be done, forthwith! This poor guy with the back-pack keeps asking the plain closed officer for his name---and pontificates on “probable cause” regarding the plain closed officer providing his name---while it is obvious that a uniformed officer begins to make what seems to be a legal arrest. At this point “back-pack man” (it is unclear which is Randall Anderson, and which is, Mercutio Terrell Southall) is non compliant, and offers resistance. At which point he was tazed. I see no fisticuffs, no beating(s), with or without batons, and I see no “police brutality”. One could call this a stunt made by, Randall Anderson, and Mercutio Terrell Southall Sr, to simply call attention to themselves. Was this the case? I dont know. Not nearly enough evidence is presented in this 6 minute clip. youtu.be/lVK9ovTFY9Y
