I would first of all entreat all executives at all levels to continue talking to their members or students to desist from any unscrupulous acts in the name of allowance. According to the Human Resource Department of the Ministry of Health (HRD of MOH) all unanimous decision taken at the stakeholders meeting holds until the Minister of Health reports back from meeting with cabinet. Meaning the Minister has not said anything contrary to the initial agreement we had at the meeting, hence all information abt de scraping or reduction of the allowance should be considered rumours. However, we r reassured once again that since we have signed our bond forms, that alone justifies our right to be paid the allowance... The delay in the release of the clearance according to them is because the Minister has not officially given any info from the cabinet meeting due to some issues she need to settle though all necessary documentations have been processed n sent to the Ministry of Finance. Other sectors who r receiving theirs is an indication that the continuing trainee nurse/midwife will be receiving theirs in full. Theres no need to riot or strike now since that will only worsen our plight. Very soon the clearance will hopefully be out... We will continue to follow up to know the progress of the clearance and report back to u with facts n not rumours. We hv no option than to still be patient so that we can act with tact n diplomacy... NB: Be anxious for nothing, but in everything with prayer, supplication n thanksgiving present all your petition to the Lord. Long live GNMTA Thank you. National Prez
