I would just like to make a statement about Feminism in hopes for - TopicsExpress

I would just like to make a statement about Feminism in hopes for some feedback. First of all, I consider myself a radical feminist. I am most influenced by women like Andrea Dworkin. Something that I have noticed (correct me if im wrong), is that while it is great to have feminists movements and groups for women, shouldnt we be talking not just about the oppression of women, but also of children? After all, children are our future and are more often than not, oppressed along side of their mothers. I have heard some women say real feminists dont have children or intimate relationships with other men and are lesbians. I disagree with this, but do agree that it is wiser to not have children (for many reasons that I will not get into). With that said, women are going to continue to have children and I think that if changes are to be made, we must also protect, educate, and prevent the oppression of our children as well. Concerns of children seem very rare in feminist debates and Id like to know why that is?
