I would just like to say how much I enjoy learning from the Vellomobile builders and racers. I know a little about racing and the extremes the individual and the team will go in order to find that tiny bit more power, to shed that little bit of extra weight, the hours spent fine tuning the vehicle to get through the corners just a little better, a little faster. Vellomobiles are a whole new chapter for me. I wanted to express my appreciation to you all for sharing, both here and on your personal pages and blogs. Because of you, I am learning more and more each day. Thank you. As many of you know, I have been gather information for my first major build. I want to marry an ultralight coro camper-trailer to a DIY 2 bike quad that can be produced cheaply and distributed to those in need. Most of you have seen my ideas for the camper - minimalist coro structure towed by a trailer too light to support humans. The camper disconnects from the trailer and sit on the ground much like the homeless shelter. Simple. Many of you build the bike equivalent of Lamborghini and Ferrari machines. Think of this quad as home-built SUV. In the following, I wanted to make it something special. Truth be told, the end product will probably look more like the camper. But I still dream... Recipe: Mini-Me Mad Max Mellow Mobile Madness Ingredients: 2 Used 10-speed bikes. Substitute as needed. 1 Large pile of scrap and used parts 1 Commercial grade swing-set 10 Half-sheets of Coroplast 1 qt. Dry Cleaning Fluid 8 Water pipe repair sleeves. Deck screws Tie wraps Duct tape Other stuff Combine ingredients in various configurations until wife starts forgetting your name. Let rest. Rinse. Repeat.
