I would just like to say that my little Shire is my hero! This is Arclid Joe Calzaghe (aka Joey) and what a fighter he is. Due to various issues, he was stuck on the lorry for 10 hours when he was delivered ... then he was diagnosed with a massive worm burden despite being wormed ... then gastric ulcers .. infected leg (we had to bring him in with ropes one night) and a gastric infection .. oh and most recently an abscess. He got so so so skinny and is finally on mend. This boy has not once put his ears back or raised a leg at me or the vet during anything he has been through. Not once has he let it get him down or given up. I have so much respect for this chap and cannot wait to see him as he gains condition again. He is not even 9 months old yet and has been through so much
