I would like to air this out! . There is a difference between antisocial and asocial! . Antisocial -- : violent or harmful to people : not friendly to other people 1 : averse to the society of others : unsociable 2 : hostile or harmful to organized society; especially : being or marked by behavior deviating sharply from the social norm . Antisocial personality disorder, by the way, is the same as psychopathy/sociopathy. . Asocial -- : not social: as a : rejecting or lacking the capacity for social interaction b : antisocial (connecting antisocial and asocial in the definition is the result of peoples lack of understanding of there being a difference.) . Just because Im not particularly fond of socialising and social behaviors does not mean that I should be called the same word used to describe a psychopath!
