I would like to also direct those calling this amnesty to look up the actual amnesty that took place back in 1987. This is NOT amnesty. This is far from that. The beneficiaries of deferred action do not qualify for any benefits but their money will certainly benefit our government. They cannot vote, travel outside the US without applying for permission and paying some more for it, qualify for market medical insurance, social security, federal loans, etc. They will carry on working to support their families with low wages benefiting employers and paying into OUR system in exchange for work authorization. Please be informed before opining on the subject.
