I would like to ask advice. Ive been dealing with a girl who commissioned a recycled window painting from me about a !month and a half ago. Its been completed for a month. She keeps saying she is so excited and cant wait to get the piece. But every time I ask if she would like to pay for it, she gives me a lame excuse. The piece was a portrayal of her unborn twins shes expecting. What I didnt know going into the commission was that she is 15 years old, bipolar, explosive, and was most likely not going to pay for the piece anyways. I put a payment policy up on my art page, saying that payment is expected at the end of the project, and unless you have priorly discussed it with me, the piece will be sold to someone else after four weeks. She read it, and she got freaking unhappy, blaming it on me that she had to pay me, and that that money wouldnt be able to be spent on cribs and car seats. Were talking about $100 for the art piece, and six months until her kids are born.she works, too. Then I got this today (screen shot below), and Im not sure if theres anything I can do. Shes been rude and disrespectful in her excuses and in her expressing her displeasure with me wanting to be paid for what I got hired to do. I felt like I was being polite, and what I was asking wasnt wrong. Opinions? Was I too harsh? What can I do from this point? Thanks for your advice, I just really am at a loss.
