The regime had intended to wipe away all trace of its country’s culture. Its most treasured artist, singer Sin Sisamouth - known as the Elvis of Asia – was summarily executed after two months in a labor camp. But his music could not be killed. To this day, most every Cambodian, ... Plot outline Elvis of Cambodia: The Sinn Sisamouth Story is a documentary that examines the power of a legend and his legacy years after his execution at the hands of the Khmer Rouge, during the Cambodian genocide.
