I would like to dedicate this performance to one of the most influential women from my hometown of Forrest City, Arkansas. Mrs Moorhead, not only were you an inspiration for all the young ladies in our area but also for the boys in the neighborhood. I think back to the days you set me, Chris, Oran and Rufus Duff down and just talked to us, which we all felt were lectures. Thank you for being apart of the blueprint that helped me develop into the man I am today. I remember complaining about the $5 you would pay me for cutting your yard, but now I realize it was your way of teaching me how to make an honest living. You were the first black principle of my knowing and a stern one at that. I cant count the number of Times I was sent to the office and your favorite words rolled out of your mouth this is gonna hurt me more than it will you as I grabbed my ankles and received the traditional three strikes with your paddle. And as I was walking out, I would hear and you know Im gonna let your Mary know when I get home Mrs Moorhead, no more pain and sorrow, you rest now and truly know that you will be royally missed by all whom lives you touched.
