I would like to discuss an issue we’re having in our neighborhood, and see if anyone has any suggestions: Our block, the 100 block of S. Twin Pines (behind Red’s and the storage unit facility) has always been nice, clean, and quiet. We know our neighbors, everyone’s friendly, we’re just tight knit. During these past few months, we’ve noticed an increase of people, mainly teens, just lurking around our street & behind our houses (in the alley). The other night I went to our back yard (which backs up to the alley/storage units) and found a group of people just hanging out on my husband’s trailer (the kind you load a car on). On various occasions, my neighbors and I have also caught teens drinking and sucking face in the alley/storage units. More often than not it’s 1 person, in the dark, hiding out in the alley staring at their phones, pacing around. While I can’t be 100%, it gives me the feeling they’re waiting for someone to meet them for drug related business (I mean, it’s pretty obvious- it’s pitch dark outside, hiding in a back alley). WHAT’S HAPPENED TO OUR STREET?! I’m hoping if you’re the parent of a teen in the area, you might read this and suggest they “hang” elsewhere. I have no interest in living in a slum, and am getting upset seeing this activity going on. We’ve already contacted the police numerous times, and we know they can’t be everywhere at once. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
