I would like to do something a little different this week. I would like to quote some excerpts from my book Tunneling to reach out to those of you who are believing for answered prayers and promises and struggling like me to keep trusting at times. This first part is where Hallie is trying to find the waterfall (salvation and healing) that the Creator has been whispering to her promises about. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Chapter 14 Wisdom in Waterfalls Creator, I feel You tugging at my soul, like a friend pulling me onto a thrilling carnival ride. At the top of this mountainous roller coaster, I chase my butterflies down, gaining momentum with each leap of faith. I am all Yours, and the rush of love I feel from You is like a storm of warm tropical winds that wrap around my frame to set my heart in the right direction. No endurance needed, just flying down the hills of promise as a young girl runs into the arms of her father. Will You be there at the bottom to catch me? She heard no response after running to the mountains base, only a small trickle of hope carving thin lines down a rock wall to a muddied pool called HEART DEFERRED. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In life we face disappointments, obstacles, and even what seems like the polar opposite of what we feel God tugging at us to believe for. Dont quit at these muddy pools of HEART DEFERRED. Lets climb these mountains together and lift each other up :)
