I would like to express my appreciation for all the prayers, - TopicsExpress

I would like to express my appreciation for all the prayers, visits, cards and messages from every one. I’m back home now and doing pretty good. When I first had the stroke my left side was completely paralyzed but I’m now walking with a walker and a cane and sometimes with neither. Southwest Rehabilitation Center in Battle Creek is a good place to go when you need them but it’s really nice to be home again. I will be starting out patient therapy 7-22-13. Unfortunately a stroke doesn’t make you look any younger or more handsome, wishes I’d gotten something for all the trouble. One thing it does teach is humility, it was the first time in my life I had ever taken a shower while sitting on the commode with three women stranding there watching me who I’d never seen before in my life, funny now but not so much at the time. Life has a way of throwing you curves you never see coming. My appreciation to Terry and Audrey Young, they stepped in and gave my mother and I more help than I’d ever believed possible or be able to repay. My mother is all for adopting Terry I think. We could never have made it without his help, he ran my mother over to Battle Creek about every other day and spent a lot of hours doing paper work and delivering it for me. Again I want to express my appreciation for all the prayers, visits, cards and messages from every one. Northwest sure had a great bunch of people back in 1973 and they’ve gotten even greater. It goes without saying we always had the best looking gals. I don’t use Face Book much and am not very good with it, I use Email, my address is e.weller@mail.
