I would like to give a huge thank you to a great group of people. My brother Ken Ivey retired from Dekalb County fire dept. He also works with Walton County fire dept. Dekalb County responded Tuesday morning for our mother. Station 13 where Ken worked for many years. They worked on her but she had already went on to be with Jesus. When they loaded her up in the ambulance they very firmly told the driver that this is Ken Iveys mother... you drive this thing like it was the president in the back. They waited at the hospital until we arrived to tell how sorry they were for our loss. They were there at her funeral yesterday in uniform with the fire truck. As we turned into the cemetery Friday there sits Walton County Station 13 fire truck with the fire fighters standing there. There was several other fire fighters at her funeral as well dressed in street clothes. I thank all of you, number one for what yall do to serve and protect all of us. Number two and most important Thank You for being with us on Friday.
