I would like to live in a world where the opinion of a trained medical investigator, that a death was homicide, would be sufficient to amount to Probable Cause in the eyes of a grand jury, which is to say a bunch of lay people with usually no training in either medicine, law, or logic.. Probable Cause does not mean the individual intended to commit the homicide, it means the individual intended to commit the act that could have been reasonably expected to result in homicide. Actual trials are meant to determine guilt or innocence in a more nuanced fashion.
