I would like to once again deeply urge those who hate Melissa McCarthy to give GILMORE GIRLS a look at some point. She was wonderful on that show and her character was absolutely nothing like the ones she is constantly playing now. She played the sweet, awkward, and accident-prone best friend of Lauren Grahams lead. No loudness. No obnoxiousness. A completely different kind of performance. The problem is that she got a ton of acclaim for her loud & obnoxious Bridesmaids character and, like most comedic actors, turned it into a profitable schtick. I hope she drops it soon or at least puts it back on the shelf for awhile. Still though...GILMORE GIRLS. Its a fantastic show in general and this is one of many reasons why everyone should watch it at some point.
