I would like to present the notion that not everyone whos single is in need of finding the right person. Some people decide that they want to go through life as a sole proprietorship, and find joy in that. I think they are often misconstrued by others as just jaded, broken, bitter, or not having found the right relationship yet. But perhaps not every person is cut from the same pairing off cloth. I recently realized I enjoy NOT being part of a couple. I enjoy my life and pursuits. I just heard from another woman whos had the same realization. I have to think there are more of us out there (and men) who are happily, deliberately alone as a life choice. Are you one of us? What are some of the things you hear from people who misunderstand your aloneness?
