I would like to publicly express the gratitude I have for my Wife. Today we celebrated our first wedding anniversary and we were fortunate enough to do it in a place that is exotic and far from home. I say far from home, simply because we are not in Fort Worth and we are relaxing in Costa Rica, but it couldnt be any further from the truth... my Home is where Marty is. I never knew that I could love someone with the depth that I love this woman, I never knew how to love someone until she taught me. She taught me by loving me through and through, she taught me with acceptance, compassion and understanding. Her grace, kind heart and patience have taken (almost) every rough edge of mine and slowly rubbed them to a (semi) smooth finish. She accepts me for who I am and celebrates my flaws, as much as my strengths. I am amazed at the way she can effortlessly make anyone in the room feel as though they are the most important person on Earth. I am amazed and grateful for the impact she has on Abbys life and the relationship they share. To have our relationship grow and deepen is truly astounding and the trust we share makes our life almost serene. She is my perfect mate, my Sun and my best friend. Happy anniversary, Flash. I fkn adore you.
