I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who came to my fundraiser today for the Irish Cancer Society! As far as first fundraisers go it was quite a success! Thank you to the The Central Navan for providing the venue and for providing the refreshments. Thank you to the mayor of Navan Francis Dean for his heartfelt speech. Thank you also to the wonderful brave women who spoke at the event about their battle with cancer, Yvonne Keane, Julie Churchill and Gillian Hughs who are a great inspiration to us all. To Meath County Council Manager Jackie Maguire and to my mam Fiona Lawless and co. for coming down to the event to support it. Also to the very talented Mr. Phillip Mc Goldrick who sang and played the guitar and impressed everyone with his performance! To all the sponsors of the raffle prizes Beauty By Laura, Athlumney driving school, Gardeners choice, Stauntons pharamcy, Trim historical walks and Lir chocolates. Thank you to Mtw Workshops for all their help, especially cllr Sinead Burke who put in so much effort to help me this morning. Thank you to Kieran Maguire Photos for attending.
