I would like to say thank you to all of my family and friends for your kindness, encouragement, support, prayers and putting up with me for so long. I truly meant it, Thank you! My mom has tried all my life to teach me to say thank you and I am still learning. I think Im getting better but I still need to say thank you even more. I was thinking about the phrase thank you while I was in the adoration chapel this evening. Thank you isnt just a polite response to something nice someone has done for you. Thank you makes a person feel good that you appreciate what they have done for you, even if they are paying you what you deserve like payment for a service you provided. I say thank you to my boss for the paycheck he gives me that I earned, because he allows me to work for him. To me thank you, a genuine thank you, is a show of humility. Thank you is acknowledgement that you were not owed anything and that you were not necessarily owed that kindness. It hurts to do something nice for a person and not be thanked for it. I think we could all benefit by saying Thank you more often.
