I would like to send out a thank you to Loren Simpson for her recommendation of a place to eat. Jill and I went to Kellers Hamburgers and Beer for lunch today and it was amazing! People, they only use 100% beef patties (these are not skinny Sonic patties). They butter the inside of the bun and put it on the grill until it is crispy. Theyll fix it any way you want. I got a cheeseburger with mustard, pickles, and onions. How many remember getting a hamburger in the 50s like that wrapped in white paper? I was in heaven! Even better were the prices: my hamburger $2.19, Jills hamburger $2.49 (that was a double meat special), tater tots $1.25, onion rings $1.49, Jills bottle neck beer $1.50 for a total of $8.88. Im not sure of the tax but we tipped our car hop girl $2.00 so the grand total was approx. $11.50. Jill and I left with full tummies and are still trying to figure out how they can afford to stay afloat with prices like that. They have been in business for years and have they put out great food is all I can say. I will be going back, even though I drove to Dallas to eat (approx 30 miles one way). Even better I got to spend special time with Jill.
