I would like to share a story that may shed some light on buying a Bulldog puppy. After researching the breed thoroughly and deciding a Bulldog is right for you. One of the most important aspects is to find a breeder that will be there for the long haul. I had a woman contact me a few years ago..she was local so that was a plus. We spoke at great length about the breed and she stated she really wanted a red and white male. Well I had two brindle/white males..so she decided to get one out of the paper a few hrs away. After she sent me pics of the new pup I told her I was available to answer questions in any way even though it was not one of my pups and offered to glue the pups ears. I never heard from her again but over a year later the Cable man was working here and saw my dogs and told me his sister got a Bulldog and it has been a disaster. Vet bills in the thousands and the breeder wont answer her calls. :-(( Yes the sister was the lady that had to have a red/white pup. :-( He said she told him on several occasions that she should have stuck with the breeder that was informative and willing to help. I cant stress this enough to new puppy buyers..you are not just buying a puppy..you are buying the knowledge and support of the breeder you choose..so choose wisely.
