I would like to share the following letter with you that we have received from the MNDA: To the Dimension Data Dive Team, I wanted to write to you all and personally thank you all for taking on this marvelous challenge; we have never had so many wonderful if not a little crazy people jumping out of a plain on one day for us. You really are making a difference to the lives of people living with MND. I wanted to share with you how brilliant you are so below I have put together a list of items that your fundraising achievements could fund for us. How you are making a difference £10 provides an information pack for a newly diagnosed person with MND £25 runs the MND Connect support and information line for an hour £35 buys an adapted cutlery set to help someone with MND continue to feed themselves £50 funds laboratory equipment for a day’s vital research into finding out the causes of MND £75 funds an MND expert researcher for half a day £100 provides 10 x information packs for newly diagnosed people £200 provides a basic level of respite care for a day £250 buys a specialist joystick to enable somebody to continue working £550 funds the installation of a stair lift and initial six months rental £1,000 buys a riser recliner armchair to help maintain a level of mobility for those who can no longer stand unaided £3200 buys a Lightwriter to give someone back the ability to communicate with their loved ones We ensure that every pound we receive is spent carefully so that people affected by MND get the help they need. The support of Dimension Data is vital and will help us continue our work. As you can see from the list above with your support we can purchase and provide a wealth of equipment, information and support for people living with MND and hopefully provide hope for the future. Best wishes and many thanks. Ben Sharpe, Senior Corporate Fundraiser, MND Association.
