I would like to share this with all my Friends. I have recently gotten involved with a new Non-Profit, the American College of Paramedicine, and would like to encourage all of you to join as well. Why should you join? What makes the ACP different is a desire to change and advance the PROFESSIONAL standards of Paramedicine. We all want to be taken more seriously as a profession, not a vocation. Part of the process of earning a seat at the big boys table is to push for higher standards of our fellow Paramedics, clinically and academically. Did you know that a cosmetology license requires 1,600 hours, whereas most Paramedic programs are around 1,200 hours? Hair cuts are serious business. It is time that we get serious with EMS.
