I would like to share with you guys my experience with Mrs. - TopicsExpress

I would like to share with you guys my experience with Mrs. Fields. Last August 2, we purchased 4 cookies from Mrs. Fields, Mall of Asia. These were Mrs. Fields Indulgent Creations. We ate the 2 cookies inside the movie house and took the 2 to our hotel room. Just when I decided to consume the remaining cookies, I noticed a brown hair like thing in one of the cookies. I tried to pull it out but it was brittle, so I looked closer and found out it was an antenna of a cockroach. The body of the cockroach was submerged in the cookie and the head peeking out of the chocolate topping. It really grossed me out as we ate the 2 inside the dark movie house. If you really look at it closer, you will see that it was cooked maybe along with the cookie. I don’t usually post things like this; I dont even repost those made by others. More than that dirty cockroach, I really didn’t appreciate the way they responded with our concern. The first time we met them, they were really nice and assured us that they would investigate where and how the roach got in to the cookie. They did offer to give us gift certificates which I think was insulting. Why would we want to consume more of their cookies when we just found one with a dead cockroach in it? They have updated us that they suspended employees from the store as they suspected them putting the roach in the cookie. The next meeting we had with them was what triggered me to share this with you. The General Manager was so rude to us and even implied that the roach may have been imbedded or implanted by us. She said that no one can prove where it really came from since we had already taken the product home. She even said that there was no harm done since there was no medical or health intervention needed. They were so insensitive and didn’t do anything to appease our aggravation towards their product. They didnt do anything to rectify what was already a nightmare of a customer experience to begin with. It was really a bad experience that we had with them. It’s so disappointing how an International and well-known brand like Mrs. Fields couldn’t handle us. They mentioned it was the first time that they had received such a complaint. What was really annoying was she kept on reiterating that they were approved by BFAD and that their products were of the best quality. Without any malicious intent, we did them the courtesy of informing that, as consumers, we would be well within our rights if we chose to share this incident with the public. Without the slightest tinge of remorse or compassion, she replied, Yes, you can do that.”
