I would like to suggest that anyone who is on Medicare and/or becoming eligible this year do some homework with your favorite doctors, local/regional hospitals inquiring as to whether or not they take Medicare Advantage(HMO that only covers in-network companies unless an emergency). Greg went with an AARP United Health Care Medicare Advantage plan 2 years ago & now practically no one in the Cuero and Victoria area accept it. Our local doctors have now merged into a large system due to Obamacare costs that only accepts 2 of these companies. Victoria Citizens Medical said they are moving away from most Medicare Advantage plans and strongly suggested he go with straight Medicare and purchase a Supplement plan instead. Am counting the days for the re-enrollment to begin.
