I would like to suggest that anyone with an abundance of donations that has been turned away to please look at providing those items to local nursing homes. My mother lives in a home for people with head injuries and perhaps 30% of the residents have family that takes care of them on a regular basis. The rest have no one. With the holidays coming up many of these folks will only receive what the missions and the staff drum up for them. With so much support being brought into our town I am hearing many folks feel frustrated at not having a place to take things. I know for a fact hygiene items, toiletries, slippers, robes, every day items are more than welcomed. Especially in a place like where my mom lives. Just a thought for those looking for a home for their items that theyve taken the time to collect.
