I would like to take in minute to thank all the Martinton EMTS - TopicsExpress

I would like to take in minute to thank all the Martinton EMTS past and present. When you live in a small community your neighbors are included in your family. Just a few facts about your neighbors. Thank you to the men and women who back in 1978 realized that the citizens of Martinton needed more than just fire protection they need medical responders. These were people like Richard (Dick) Deneau, Jim Seabert,Sue Seabert, Rosey Roberts, Phil Roberts, Bill Bishop, Bill Denham, Bill Barney, Vernon Bell, Linda Bell, George Wisniewski. I am sure I have missed a few,but those are names I remember hearing when I started dating a man who lived and breathed fire and ems at the age of 16. From those members there was over countless years of experience shared. Many citzens along with members like Doug Clements(fire chief at that time) and Rebecca Clements ( who served as EMS cooridnatoor along with a new batch of emts Carrie Reneau-Hedge, Ky Burke, Jeff Heagle, Christy Heagle, Kendra Ponton all worked so hard together and brought to life a dream that the Emts/ first responders had in 1994 our first ambulance. This ambulance was purchased from fund raisers and donations only. Even our billing was done by one of the sweetest ladies in town Virgina Butler all she would ever except as payment was envelopes and paper to write receipts. Community tax money is not how our ambulance operates. Not many communities of less than 500 people can say that. What a true honor to maintain an ambulance for 20 years! A few other members who I would like to mention are Sarah Lareau-Jenkins.Aj Jenkins, Deb Bell and Amanda Harris. As of today our squad operates the same area as always with 6 licensed and 1 starting in the fall. EMTs levels are basic to paramedic. They bring to their community a total of 75 years of experience. This is how you break it down Chris Shell Trumble 3 years, Nick Brault3years although he as been with Martinton since the age 14, Doug Cooper 5 years and 3 with us,Tim Hedge 18 years, Dawn Brault 21years, Butch Brault 28 years. For those have past rest friends knowing you went above and beyond the call of duty. So when you see these people out and about take a minute to thank them. Folks this show how much our community cares for each other.Happy Ems week.
