I would like to take this moment to send my thoughts prayers, strength, and love to both the Ramos family and the Liu family. These two men were killed without cause and as a result, their children, sisters, brothers, mothers and fathers now have to associate every Christmas hereafter with the murder of their beloved. What has happened to officer Rafael Ramos and officer Wenjian Liu is disgusting and senseless. This has nothing to do with the peaceful protesting that has been going on throughout this country. EVERY AMERICAN CITIZEN has the right to speak up and speak out. The person who murdered these two officers did not and DOES NOT represent those of us who are seeking police reform through non-violent protest. That man was a coward. To those who may feel that life was balanced with these horrific killings, I invite you to remember Martin Luther King Jr.s words; Injustice anywhere is injustice everywhere. The murder of these two officers was a great injustice. May God be with their loved ones at this time.
