I would like to take this time and place to ask for prayers for one of our Amish Neighbors. His name is Allen. He is a young father with 2 little girls. Thursday he was injured in a farm accident. A huge round bake of hay fell onto his chest and bent him over backwards. He was life-flighted to GR. His prognosis is still unsure. Three of his vertabrae were crused like sugar cubes with a hammer. There is no tearing of the spinal cord...so that is good news. As of yesterday he had very little movement in one hand. They are keeping him sedated for pain management and tryig to manage fluid in his lungs. We have been busy taking members of the settlement to GR. I will be going u today with a group after church. Please keep him, his family and the entire settlement in your prayers. It is inspiring to see how everyone come together to help. Back in 2011, a lady was severely burned and spent 8 weeks in Ann Arbor. Allen and Esther were newly married at that time and moved in and took care of 5 boys from 8 on down for 2 month. Now Wilma and her family are taking care of Allen and Esthers girls. Allens had just moved to a new home to take up what he had always wanted to do, raisling cattle. Now two of the young school boys along with brthers in law are looking after Allen and Esthers farm. All of the ladies are making home cooked meals to send up for Allens family and the others that are up there to be with Esther. Thank-You for holding them all up in prayers.
