I would like to thank Charles Remillard for nominating me for the Strikeout ALS ice bucket challenge. Earlier this week all these posts were bothering me because, like many others I felt like it was becoming a social media trend rather than something that was truly benefitting the cause. ALS is a horrible disease, and I hope with all heart we will someday find a cure. Im most importantly inspired by those like Pete Frates who struggle with the disease every day but who stay positive no matter what. This is what I strive to do as an athlete and a person. On that note, I would like to nominate Suny Oneonta Track BOYS XC TEAM to complete this challenge after the midnight time trial in a few days, as well as my coaches Angelo Posillico and Joe Reed, AND the Wefer Family, Douglas Wefer, Laura Wefer,Paul Wefer, Matthew Wefer, and MaryEllen. As well as the ever positive Danielle Kennedy. I will be donating and I encourage all to donate as well. You have 24 hrs (or until the time trial) to complete the challenge or donate $100 to Strikeout ALS!!!
