I would like to thank Rachael Bush for nominating me to complete the #icebucketchallenge to raise awareness and #strikeoutals. Every 90 minutes someone in this country gets diagnosed with ALS, and another person will lose their battle against this horrible disease. ALS, or Lou Gehrigs disease, slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow, and breathe. Within 2 to 5 years after diagnosis, the person becomes no more than a memory. It affects people worldwide, and while the cause is unknown, research can bring us closer to truly striking out ALS. It costs $200,000 a year to care for someone with ALS. Do your part, and donate if you can. I would like to nominate Elben Elben Heramis, Joseph P. Sgambati III, and Jill Vander Wende to join me! You guys have 24 hours to complete this challenge or donate $100 to the ALS Association!
