I would like to thank everyone that took time to call me or write me to extend their support during the toughest moment in my professional life. You carried me across an emotional bridge that I could not have traveled by myself. My family, the Doughtys, Henrys & Roccos; AMAZING! My friends, too many to name; EXTRAORDINARY! This has best the worst of times but the best of times. When things are at their worse good folk are at their best and folk showed up for me in their Sunday best. I have been at NYIT since 1976. I believe that I leave having made a positive impact on the lives of all students, especially the student-athletes. Although I wont be on the sidelines anymore I will always be a Bear cause we dont die we multiply thus Bear Nation grows. Bears, go out and compete with pride, dignity and sportsmanship while maintaining your academic prowess which is why you are at NYIT. Dont get it twisted, its academic over athletics. To the dedicated athletic staff; Melissa, Sabrina, Jason, Stephen & Stephen, Carlos, AC, Bob, Michael, Chris, Dean, Nicole, Sinck and Dr. EB, thank you for letting me walk side by side with you as we made chicken salad out of chicken shit! Keep moving the department forward, you are an amazing group of individuals. It has been a pleasure. Well, the moment of opportunity is before me to start anew. The Time Is Now to dry my eyes, blow my nose and jump in my car to start my new journey. As I wrap up my thoughts I am reminded of a song by Outkast titled Roses. There is a lyric, the hook, that I feel is very appropriate for a very select number of folk at the Institute and Im quite sure they know who they are: I know you like to think your shit dont stink, but leaner a little bit closer......roses really smell like poo-poo-oo; Yes your shit does stink, Im just saying. Cool Mac is out and on the loose, see ya soon, THANK YOU FOR THE LOVE, HUGS YALL!!!!
