I would like to update you all on my dad, since many of you have prayed for him. Hes had his PT and OT home evaluation, and hes doing great. His back pain from compression fractures has been greatly reduced (since having his kyphoplasty surgery), he is getting stronger and has more endurance much more quickly than anticipated, and hes cranky (so hes more like himself, lol). I took him out to lunch and to do errands today, and he did really well. He gets out of in-patient rehab on Saturday, and will go directly to out-patient rehab after that (skipping home care altogether, since hes doing so well). His edema is okay, but could be better (a result of chronic stage 4 kidney disease, so its to be expected). Praise God that my 86 year old dad has come through again!
