I would never suggest that bad things dont happen to good people. I have been through it in my life and l am one of the nicest, caring people that I know. :) Even more, consider the story of Job... God considered him to be blameless among men and he lost everything.... Everything! By the end of the Book, God did restore Job. He went through many storms to get to that rainbow, though! I can truly say that I can empathize with Job. I have had many bad things happen to me in my 31 years. I have never dismissed my faith. Just as Job refused to do..... A friend told Brett and me yesterday that she was walking downtown and some guy just walked up to her and took her cell phone. I thought, Wow! No one has ever done anything like that to me. That would be horrifying! The friend that this happened to told me once that she didnt believe in God... Again, I would never suggest that her misfortune occurred because she doesnt have faith. I would never compare myself to Job, either. However, I will make this plea... If you are a Christian and youre going through hard times, keep faith. He has not forgotten you. If you are not a believer, reconsider your decision. A world of highs, lows and in betweens is better than a Godless world! .... And if you need more proof, read the entire book of Job! :)
