I would normally just look on fj for a solution to a problem - TopicsExpress

I would normally just look on fj for a solution to a problem however I really have no idea where to even start here. In the video you can see the steering wheel jerking to the right and almost hear a grinding noise (less obvious in video ) and me countering to the left. Traveling about 25mph to a costing stop. It doesnt happen on acceleration or at highway speed but almost any time when transitioning between acceleration and deceleration, and randomly while decelerating. No amount of braking seems to affect symptoms. Ive checked for play in tie rod ends, sway links, wheel bearings and brake parts, none of which give any clues. Ive seen and heard that bad CVs will make noise at steering lock because the knuckles are essentially pulling apart do to the ware. In this case there is no noise or other indication of bad cv shafts, not sure what could make a steering rack cause this, so Im really at a loss here. Its enough of a pull that Ive parked the car for safety. Thanks in advance for any brilliant ideas.
