I would say that this was a very successful hunting trip! Got a 4 x 4 which means I beat my dad by a lot! Mine is wider, taller, and got more points! Very happy and I am really excited cant wait till next year for another competition with my dad. Saw a 3 point on my first morning and immediately said no. Then saw deer every morning but could never get a good shot on them with private property, livestock, and people but it took me until Sunday morning for me to get the one I did! We watched him and like 30 other deer with him, does and bucks but never could get a shot on him because he was on a alfalfa patch so we waited and waited for them to finally come off when some cows blew them off the field so they jumped the fence and then the cows went right where they were so we couldnt shoot once again because of the rancher and didnt want to scare the cows away. So we waited for another 45 minutes for them to clear. So as soon as the rancher was out of the way we made a move on the deer going in the general direction they were at, hoping we would see them before they saw us. So as soon as we started getting close after hands and knees crawling to almost an hour I spotted a doe. So we watched her until she got up then some more popped up saw a two point thinking I would have to take that and then a three point popped up started walking around and waiting to get a good shot on him and then soon they started popping up like gophers and then the deer I took stood up close to the last ones and had to wait some more for a clear shot so I dont hit another behind it and as soon as my uncle ok shoot I shot and the deer dropped so quick I though I missed but thank god I can shoot pretty good and that thing dropped like a ton of bricks! Man that was one hell of a stalk! Thank you uncle and my dad! Had a blast!
