I wouldnt usually waste a splendid moment on such a beautiful day of carving in the Sierras NEVERTHELESS... Todays Supreme Court ruling on allowing unlimited campaign spending for individuals was too stunning to ignore. As of today, individuals can now make unlimited contributions (in total) just like corporation (who are people too) to as many candidates as their hearts desire. HOWEVER, there will still be a limit of $5,600 to any one candidate. This is the republican parties wet dream come true! But wait...You mean our individual free speech is still limited to $5600 max per candidate??? What wimps those Roberts Justices are!! Why not allow full free speech for INDIVIDUALS as well... Why not allow UNLIMITED CAMPAIGN SPENDING BY INDIVIDUALS FOR ANY ONE CANDIDATE? Why not allow billionaires, plutocrats and oligarchs to contribute millions and millions to ANY candidate, local, state, national or otherwise? THAT CONCEPT HAS WORKED OUT SO WELL IN RUSSIA. So,why not go all the way, I ask? WHAT COULD POSSIBLY GO WRONG WITH THAT John Boehner? After all, many tea party and libertarian conservatives have already been crowing lately that PUTIN IS A REAL take-charge-get er-done LEADER (Ukraine) unlike our deliberative, cowardly president.
