I write this post with a heavy heart and knots in my stomach. I tried everything in my power to get both and am so sorry I was not successful. Today my 8 year old and I were heading down peculiar dr when we came upon two yellow labs. Healthy, happy, friendly and very smelly. I stopped instantly since we were so close to the highway, I got them both to come right up to me and I was able to check ones collar for tags (there were none). I also wanted to make sure they where stranger friendly before I put the in the car with my kid. I turn to open the car door and put that one in so i can check the second one and the second one is across the highway in the median. Before I could react and grab the dog next to me it took off after its friend. It never made it across. I was able to get the one dog back across safely and took her to the peculiar police department, since the vet can no longer take them. I normally hold the animal and try to find its owner myself but seeing what I just saw I knew that someone out there would be missing there babies. I am so sorry who ever you are. Please understand I tried. I hope this finds you with forgiveness in your heart and the strength to heal.
