I write this with all sense of responsibility;CANs president,Mr Ayo Oritsejafor is a disgrace to the Christian community in Nigeria! Y-E-S! If this bling-bling pastorpreneur has any sense of accountability,stewardship and love of country,this utterance wont come out of his mouth. On the $9.3billion scandal,hear him; This is a war against Nigerian church. Excuse me sir,which Nigerian church are you referring to? The one the Catholic church isnt a part of or another one? When I was in S.S.S 1,I was in my then parish priests car one day,in company of the catechist and the priest. We were around Okokomaiko,Lagos. The traffic was practically a stand-still. I saw other motorists using the pedestarian part of the road all in a bid to get ahead. I suggested to Fr to use the same road so we can move ahead. I wont forget his words. He looked at my as a father will look at a daughter and he said Gloria,the word MISSIONARY is written on this car.The plate numbers has the letters CM and AAA.That is Catholic Mission.Im wearing a cassock.It is a sacrilege if I become the one breaking traffic laws.It will be a dent on the Catholic Church and my fellow brother priests That message sank. That was in 1993. 21 years after,whenever I see missionary vehicles breaking traffic laws and having no regard for other road users,I feel shame for this brand of Christianity. This is a strange brand of Christianity. I dont know who these ones are. I dont give a damn who is at the wheel of that vehicle! Missionary is written on it. Be a missionary. Be a gospel carrier. Remember Antioch. Remember how we got this name,Christians! So,I dont give a damn who leases what. Dont let me start on who the anonymous donor of a whole jet is. Arms are not used for missions! Illegality and mission works shouldnt be found in the same sentence. Mumu-ish Christians,I ask you,if that private jet belonged to the Emir of Kano,Sultan of Sokoto,The oga patapata chief Iman,what would have been your utterances and reactions now??????????
