I wrote KA PUA ANO LANI in 2011 and it ended up on Na Palapalais HAA CD. It speaks of a blossom of the highest regard. I compare this blossom to a person very dear to me. So cherished are certain things we love, its often hard to describe them with words alone. My goal was with written lyrics and the emotion driving my voice to covey this deep rooted love. Fluttering in the coolness, in all her glorious splendor, Miss Aloha Hula 2000 TeHani Gonzado Pimental. TeHani has, as both a dancer and kumu, always portrayed my mele in such a beautiful way. True to the story and captivating to watch. She is one of my all-time favorite Miss Aloha Hulas. I have included lyrics in the first half for non-native speakers and let TeHani tell the story for the repeated verses.
