I wrote “South Alabam Christmas” with Bill Anderson and Buddy - TopicsExpress

I wrote “South Alabam Christmas” with Bill Anderson and Buddy Cannon in October on the day it was recorded in RCA Studio A. I told them, We are about to record some Christmas songs. Do you think we can write one? No sooner than I got that out of my mouth than we were in the midst of it. Seldom in Montgomery did we have a cold Christmas, much less thinking it was our lucky year that it would snow, so the song opens with, Ain’t no snow gonna fall this Christmas. And when I was a young kid, it would confuse me and my sister as to how Santa would make it into our trailer because we didn’t have a chimney or a fireplace, and the song deals with that too. Reminiscent of Twas the Night Before Christmas, which ends with “and to all a good night,” we ended the song with “good night.” You can order the EP digitally here: smarturl.it/JJPRTCS You can order albums here: big-gassed-records.myshopify/collections/all
