I wrote my first 3 books on my scuffed kitchen table, constantly worrying that my kids would spill oatmeal on the laptop. This year, I finally decided, Okay, Im really a writer now. I bunked up my two boys and turned the third bedroom into my home office, complete with blue walls (to inspire creativity), ergonomic chair (to prevent backache), and a standing desk (to keep the blood flowing). The perfect writers cave! And guess what? It turns out I can only write ... while sitting at my scuffed kitchen table.
