I wrote something about factions in the book that I wrote. And the statement that I wrote went as follows: Its very tough being a politician,one of the challenges is factionalism in the organisation. In the organization,there are bound to be differences and disagreements but those disagreements must never lead to an event whereby there are factions which develop but unfortunately factions always happen. I dont like factions but you end up getting caught up in them that you are forced to choose which faction to join. One thing that I have observed about factions is that people are quick to point out fingures over who is wrong and who is right. If you have an independent view and you analyze things,you find that both factions are wrong but they both dont want to admit they are wrong and try to resolve matters where they disagree,instead they point out fingures over who is wrong and who is right this leads to divisions. Indeed in politics there are no permanent friends and enemies,thats why its rather wise not to take politics personal. We may differ on views but that must not lead to hating one another. I am a straight talker, If I dont agree with you, I tell you straight to the face and I like people who tell me straight 2 the face if they have a problem with me. I believe that communication is very key if you want to solve a problem but if there is a breakdown in communication that will never solve problems,instead it creates more problems To the membership of ANCYL, I have apoligised before and I am apologising again for the division in the organisation. We as the previous BEC failed 2 sort out our problems hence we are faced with the current situation we are faced with.
