I wrote this about a year ago - an evening when i was missing my girlfriend badly. I sit here deep in thought, wondering what to do. My life seems almost empty when Im not with you. I stare at my phone, Im waiting for your text, the one that lets me know, when Ill see you next. My ringtone breaks the silence, your message, it is here, I lovingly read your news and wipe away a tear. Your words of warmth embrace me, always written with care, you ask if we can meet, you know that Ill be there. We are blessed, you say, by the strength of our love, how well we fit together - like a hand within a glove, like two lovers on an island, are we the perfect team, have we died and gone to heaven - is this all a dream. I come down from my pedestal, to give you my reply but this time I wont text back, Ive something else to try. Wouldnt it be romantic if I spent a little time to write for you a poem and send my love in rhyme. So I don my thinking cap and wonder where to start, then it strikes me as quite simple - A message from the heart. You bless me with a love I have never known before, we make love with such a passion you leave me wanting more. I have never known a kiss that puts me in a trance, the pressure of your lips, our tongues they seem to dance. The whiteness of your smile, those eyes that make me sway. Your hair, your face, your body. So pleased God made you this way. At times when I feel low you tender me with care. To you, I know I can turn, I know youre always there. Together our hearts are one, our spirits they are free. Theres nothing I wouldnt do to keep you next to me. I love the way you love me, your words are always true. So darling with this poem, I send my love to you xxx
