I wrote this song at a turbulent time in my life (2008) that I now wouldnt trade for anything as it taught me so very much. Right after I wrote it in the desert outside Tucson AZ, I called Daryl Wayne Dasher & sang it to him over the phone. He decided to record it & blessed this version with an energy that is ethereal & beautiful. It is on his Long Road Now CD. He has a new album that is equally stunning called Great Big Sky. He was originally part of the very popular Indie Rock trio Mellow Down Easy & has since explored his Folk & Western roots. Over the years, Dash & I have done many tours/shows/festivals together, but I cannot wait for him to play in Louisiana as our LHTMS headquarters are here & I think hell fall in love with it like so many of us have. Dash is part Marty Robbins, part Waylon & ALL Daryl Wayne Dasher. If you dont have his music, I highly recommend all of it.
