I.....ღ… ℒℴνℯ….ღ…Cookie!! ***Please SHARE so her special someone will get her out of here!!**** A volunteer writes: Oh, Cookie! I love this quirky gal! She has the coat of a catahoula leopard dog, the body of a throwaway mama, the face of an angel and a heart of gold. Cookie seems to hold it in forever in her cage and likely has housetraining. She knows sit and can be picky about treats, but takes them nicely. She arrived with a younger male dog and seems fine when encountering others outside. Judging by her teeth, Cookie is an older lady, but she definitely does not act it. When I first met her, shortly after she arrived, she seemed very anxious and I think a lot of her energy was the nervous kind. Still, after getting to know her, she is much more comfortable, but still far from fitting the senior stereotype. She is very waggy and active. She is not afraid to speak her mind. As I take her out and the other dogs in cages bark at her, she always moves forward with me, but talks back to them (not engaging in fighting) - as if to say Its my turn and Im entitled to it! When I briefly tethered her to try and capture her in a photo, she plainly told me she was ready to get this show back on the road! She is very sweet and loves to be pet. Though she has a strong character, Cookie shows hints of being bewildered and sad to find herself in a cage - it is much too boring for her!
