IALF Bali - 1 Day Workshop CCELT (Certificate in Communicative English Language Teaching) “Teaching Communicative Grammar” Hello Teachers, We would like to invite you again to join our 1 Day Workshop on Saturday, 8 February 2014 that will be held at the auditorium IALF Bali, Jalan Raya Sesetan 190 Denpasar. This one-day workshop has been prepared for teachers who need to upgrade their teaching techniques and skills especially in teaching the grammar communicatively. The workshop will run for 5 hours a day with 2 tutors (Native Speaker and Local Indonesian Tutors of English). Fee per person is Rp 300,000 which includes: Materials, Certificate, Study kits, Snack and Lunch. Accommodation is excluded. Agenda: Morning and Afternoon sessions The morning sessions will look at what makes certain activities communicative, and the benefits of this. This will lead on to a focus on presenting grammar for communicative purposes. The afternoon sessions will look at contexts and techniques for communicative grammar usage in the classroom. Morning Session 1: 9.00- 10.30 Introduction to the workshop outlining the program. This first session will focus on what makes an activity communicative. Learners will experience and then analyze a demonstration lesson, and consider the different stages and activities with regard to their communicative nature. Morning Session 2: 11.00 -12.00 In this session we will look at how various different approaches to grammar presentation can lead into communicative activities. LUNCH 12.00 – 1.00pm Afternoon Session 1: 1.00 -2.30 This session will focus on incorporating and embedding target language in context, so learners are exposed to key grammar in a meaningful way before using it.
